Multi-Use Scheme, Coventry

                             

Project Value: £8,500,000

Project Details:

JRA Have been appointed by the Developer, EDG Property Ltd to provide full design and monitoring of all M&E services along with Corstorphine & Wright Architects.

 

The site comprises the extension and major remodelling of the existing Cooperative Building to include a central covered park area, new plots at roof level, some 4,000sq.m of commercial space to include restaurants, leisure area and shops.

The project has won an award by Coventry City Council FirstPro scheme.

The design of the park area required careful lighting control and advice on fire and smoke control.

 

Our commercially aware designs and cohesive M&E/Acoustic/Thermal Modelling skills helped the project to meet budget targets whilst minimising service charges and providing an excellent living environment. Our planning stage Acoustic Report also helped with the success of the scheme.

Peri UK Ltd, New Head Office and Production Facility, Brentwood

                             

Project Value: £16,800,000

Project Details:

JRA were excited to be appointed by Peri UK Ltd working with HB Architects for the new construction of the £16m 2,500sq.m Head Office and 3,500sq.m production areas.


Carrying out traditional full design duties from concept through to completion whilst the existing site operation remains operational, including the diversion of existing underground HV and sub-station relocation required careful planning.


JRA also carried out Acoustician duties for the project.

Coomb Abbey, Binley Woods

                             

Project Value: £3,500,000

Project Details:

Appointed by the Hotel JRA carried out the full design of all services in the new 40 bedroom block.


The new annexe was built in a complimentary style to the existing 12th century former abbey with a courtyard, fully air conditioned building.

Coventry University — Jaguar Building

                             

Project Value: £2,500,000

Project Details:

One of the many and ongoing commissions carried out for Coventry University JRA carried out the full design of all services in the converted 2,600sq.m staff offices and teaching areas.


A naturally ventilated scheme using CO2 detectors and automatic opening louvers in the atrium area, with new lighting techniques helped to make the space attractive and comfortable.


JRA also carried out Acoustician duties for the project.

Build-to-Rent Multi-Use Scheme, Newhall Square, Birmingham

Project Details:

JRA Have been appointed by the Developer, Spitfire Homes part of IM Group to provide design and monitoring of all M&E services aswell as Acoustics, Energy Performance, Overheating Control, Thermal Modelling from concept to stage to completion.


Our commercially aware designs helped the project to meet budget targets whilst minimising service charges and providing an excellent living environment. The inhouse Acoustic and Energy modelling ensured a cohesive design along with our in depth knowledge of BREEAM compliance.

Dunlop Type Manufacturing Plant, Lagos

                             

Project Value: £500,000

Project Details:

An interesting scheme in Lagos designed form our offices in Birmingham entailing the design of mechanically ventilated temperature controlled environment for the manufacture of tyres, known as a Calender Room.


An existing circa 15,000sq.m portal frame steel cladded building was converted and insulated. The plant was sourced from America. The client was concerned that the system proposed by others was expensive and overly complex.


We took on the mantle and engineered a solution that ticked all the boxes. We were pleased when the systems worked perfectly without the need for a site visit.
